About Me

I am a bilingual Latina therapist, a daughter of immigrants, first in my family to graduate from high school, graduate from college (Bachelor’s & Master’s) and figure out the steps to become a licensed professional. I’ve always been curious about psychology and in middle school I submitted a science fair project with a hypothesis of, “Do phases of the moon impact human behavior”? I remember vividly going to the police department with my Spanish speaking mom to request police records to analyze crime rates. NERD! A brave curious nerd.

Fast forward just a bit to navigating the college application process, I was LOST, afraid, overwhelmed. When I secured my seat at one of the top universities in the state of Texas, The University of Texas at Austin, I often felt like the “only one” or “out of place” and both honestly and vulnerably, targeted for being different. Before becoming a therapist, I was an educator for 10+ years supporting first generation scholars find best fit institutions and ensuring they were empowered to achieve college graduation. Perdida y confundida (lost and confused) I powered through. A burnt out perfectionist, high achiever, people pleaser, first born daughter who took the role of babysitter, translator, advocate. It wasn’t until I graduated from my Master’s degree that I began my own therapy journey. There I learned the power of therapy and the offerings an intensive array of benefits no matter what the circumstances, concerns, or conditions. You deserve to feel better.

My clinical experience includes providing individual and group therapy in school settings, agencies, and private practice. My passion is connection and community. I believe that therapy should be an approachable and attainable space.

Outside of the therapy space, I am a foodie, thrifter fashionista, traveler, spontaneous music or cultural event goer who loves to work out in a warehouse gym, go on walks with my partner and baby.
